Do you constantly feel like you are running on empty? If so, you are not alone and that is why Dr. Oz has a 7-day plan to jumpstart your energy and fill your tank with the fuel it needs. He asked three experts to help him come up with the perfect plan to boost your energy in just one week and they are all ready to reveal how it works today.
Dr. Tasneem Bhatia says the gut is command central in the body, so when it is not working properly everything else cannot work well either. She recommends drinking a Prebiotic Shake on Day #1 to clean your gut and increase the amount of good bacteria in your body.
- 10 ounces of almond milk
- 1 medium banana
- ½ cup blueberries
- 1 scoop plant-based protein powder
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
Blend everything together and drink first thing in the morning.
Dr Oz: Citrus Infuser Review

Dr Oz shared his 7-day plan to boost your energy. It includes a citrus infuser to naturally flavor your water.
The second day of Dr. Oz’s 7-day plan to boost your energy focuses on sharpening your mental power. Dietitian Heidi Skolnik says that citrus foods contain flavonoids, which improve brain function while reducing stress hormones. She recommends including something citrus at every meal and all throughout your day.
Breakfast: Eat half a grapefruit.
Lunch: Dress your salad with a lemon vinaigrette.
Dinner: Enjoy a salmon filet with a side of lime salsa.
Try using a citrus infuser to add flavor to your water and drink it all day long.
Dr Oz: Flaxseeds Boost Energy
Day #3 of Dr. Oz’s plan will open up your airways, which is important for deep breathing and increasing energy. Heidi Skolnik says to add 1-2 tablespoons of flaxseeds to your favorite smoothie, a bowl of yogurt, or on top of a salad. The magnesium will relax the muscles of your lungs and keep the airways open and allow more oxygen to get in to boost your energy.
Dr Oz: Dandelion Coffee
Tim Ferriss, author of The 4-Hour Body, shared the next step in Dr. Oz’s plan, which is to detoxify the liver. Tim says you can do this by simply replacing your regular coffee with dandelion coffee.
On Day #4 use 1-2 tablespoons of dandelion powder for 1 ¼ cups of instant coffee.
Dr Oz: Best Sources of Iron
Dr. Bhatia explained how to boost your blood on Day #5 of Dr. Oz’s anti-aging plan. She says iron is one of the leading deficiencies in the United States and is the most common cause of anemia, which leaves you feeling tired all the time.
Get iron at every meal from beef, poultry, and fish, but keep the servings small and about the size of the palm of your hand.
Dr Oz: Coconut Oil Skin Moisturizer
Dr. Oz wants you to look and feel younger, so Day #6 is dedicated to bringing the glow to your skin. Dermatologist Dr. Jeanine Downie said coconut oil is a great way to improve your health and the appearance of your skin.
- Use 1 tablespoon of coconut oil per day in your cooking.
- Use 1 tablespoon of coconut oil per day as a moisturizer for your hair, skin, and nails.
Dr Oz: Epsom Salt Bath
Dr. Oz said he saved his favorite part of the plan for last because Day #7 is set aside for relaxing and rejuvenating your heart and instead of food it involves an Epsom Salt bath, which reduces tension and helps you get a restful night’s sleep.
Add 1 cup of Espom Salt and 1 cup of Baking Soda to a tub of water and soak in a bath 30 minutes before bedtime.
