Dr Oz: Lip Wax Gone Wrong
Dr Oz was taking a closer look at beauty treatments gone wrong and wanted to help viewers understand how to better treat the injuries that can sometimes result after a painful wax. If you went for an upper-lip wax and got some not-so-great results, try wrapping some ice or an ice pack in a wash cloth and applying it gently to your lip. Then, gently dab 100% aloe vera all over the burn. You should see relief after a short period of time.
Bahar Takhtehchian, a beauty expert, was thrilled to share an all-natural way to remove hair. She first stressed that it’s best for “peach fuzz” or fine hair, as opposed to coarse, thick hair. Combine the following ingredients to make the mixture:
Mix the ingredients together in a paste and then rub all over the area and let sit for about 15 minutes, each day for about a week. You should notice a reduction in hair growth after that with consistent use. Finish with witch hazel on a cotton ball rubbed into the area and rinse with cold water.
Dr Oz: Find The Perfect Pair Of Leggings
Then, because Dr Oz lives in a house full of women, he knows just how much they love their leggings. There’s actually a pair of leggings for each body type and Denise Caldwell joined Dr Oz to explain why they’re such a staple. The wardrobe piece can be worn just about anywhere but it’s important to find the right pair for you. Denise suggested you go for control, comfort, and cute when shopping.
If you tend to carry weight in your midsection, try high-rise or high-waist leggings. It will hide your problem area and is paired perfectly with an off-the shoulder top that hits the top of the thighs. If you carry your weight in your hips and thighs you want to find leggings with a thick material like neoprene or heavy cotton.
Finally, if you have weight all over and thought leggings weren’t for you, try having fun with patterned or print leggings to help balance your weight. Pair them with a solid top to balance things out. If a loud print seems like a little much for you, try a striped pair.
Dr Oz: Cruel Note Sparked Online Trend
Dr Oz then shared a story he heard about online and knew he couldn’t ignore. A woman found a note someone left for her that read “women who weigh 300 pounds should not wear yoga pants.” Kelley Markland found the letter in her mailbox, which included a cruel internet meme that read “Your pants say yoga but your butt says McDonalds.”
After crying for an hour, Kelley took to Facebook to call out her bully, and the post went viral. She gathered the support of thousands of supporters online, sparking the hashtag “leggingswin.”
More than anything Kelley wanted to know why the person felt the need to write the note, but then she had to thank them, because of the good that has come from their cruel action. It was then revealed that everyone in the audience was wearing leggings to support Kelley, including his staff. As one final surprise, Denis Caldwell surprised Kelley with brand new leggings to complete her wardrobe!
You can support Kelley by using the hashtag LeggingsWin and sharing a photo of your favorite pair.
