Dr. Oz talked about some great celebrity beauty tips. He spoke to entertainment reporter Tanika Ray, who conducted lots of research on her own to find out some of the biggest celebrity beauty secrets, talking to stars on the red carpet, as well as doctors and stylists.
Dr. Oz: Lupita Nyong’o Avocado Oil
First, Tanika Ray shared Lupita Nyong’o’s health secret. Lupita has beautiful, glowing skin, and it turns out her secret is avocado oil. She uses it as a moisturizer on her face after washing her face with a regular wash cloth.
Dr. Oz: Jennifer Aniston Petroleum Jelly

Jennifer Aniston also has a secret to keeping her skin looking smooth. She uses petroleum jelly under her eyes to ward away wrinkles. After having the petroleum jelly under her eyes all night, she fills her sink up with ice water and sticks her face in it to reduce puffiness of the eyes.
Dr. Oz: Lisa Rinna Cinnamon on Lips
Lisa Rinna is known for her lips. It turns out she adds cinnamon to her beauty regimen to keep her lips looking great. All you need to do is put your lip gloss on as normal and rub some cinnamon on your lips. Dr. Oz did say though that it’s important to make sure not to put cinnamon on dry lips or you could irritate them.
Dr. Oz: Catherine Zeta-Jones Beer for Shiny Hair
It turns out that actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has a great secret for how she takes care of her beautiful, shiny hair: beer. She lathers beer into her hair and then lets it sit for 20 minutes before shampooing and conditioning like normal. It’s important to use warm, flat beer, but any type of beer will do. A woman from the audience tried this on Dr. Oz’s stage and said she really enjoyed it.
Dr. Oz: Denise Richards Hair Secret
Tanika Ray revealed that Denise Richards‘s hair secret is a special mixture of avocado and olive oil. She mashes up a ripe avocado with one tablespoon olive oil to make a paste and rubs this into her hair. Then, she puts a shower cap on and waits 20 minutes before washing it out and shampooing as normal.
Dr. Oz: Blake Lively Mayonnaise in Hair
Blake Lively‘s hair secret is mayonnaise. She massages mayonnaise into the bottom half of her hair before getting into the shower and shampooing it out. The natural oils in mayonnaise help moisturize the hair.
Dr. Oz: Kim Kardashian Exfoliates with Sugar
Tanika Ray had another great celebrity health secret: if you want skin like Kim Kardashian, exfoliate with sugar. Adding sugar to your body wash will help it exfoliate your skin and remove dead skin cells, creating a nice, smooth texture.
Dr. Oz: Jennifer Lopez Appetite Suppressant
It turns out that Jennifer Lopez uses grapefruit extract as an appetite suppressant. She simply sniffs it so that she doesn’t eat as much. Dr. Oz said that there is data to support this.
Dr. Oz: Salma Hayek Dry Brushing
Finally, the last celebrity health secret is that Salma Hayek brushes her skin with a dry, hard brush to remove dead skin cells and to enter the shower with smooth skin already. If you do this, make sure to always move the brush toward the heart, so that you can increase blood flow as well.
