Dr Oz: How Drinking Coffee Makes You Tired
Are you tired all the time? Do you often drag through your day unsure of what is actually making you tired? Dr. Oz says the cause might not be sleep deprivation, but instead some other weird reason, so he has a quiz to help you figure out what is really making you tired.
What do you drink in the morning?
- Coffee/Tea (regular)
- Decaf only
Dr Oz: Prickly Pear Tea
Dr. Oz says that your morning coffee could actually be making you tired because it makes your body dehydrated, which leads to you drinking even more coffee and peeing all the time instead of getting the energy you need. He explained you need to drink a lot more water, but he also has a recommendation to replace your morning coffee.
Prickly Pear Tea – Packed with antioxidants to give you natural energy and does not contain caffeine, which dehydrates you.
Dr Oz: How Gargling Gives You More Energy
What do you do to clear your throat?
Dr. Oz says another weird reason you might feel tired all the time is because you are not gargling in the morning. Phlegm builds up when you are sleeping, which forces you to breathe through your mouth. This actually uses a lot of energy and leaves you feeling more tired, so you should gargle first thing in the morning to feel more energized.
Dr Oz: Are the Clothes You Wear Making You Tired?
What colors do you most often wear?
Dr. Oz says it might sound strange, but if you wear a lot of black clothing it could be making you more tired. The reason for this is that they do not reflect light and send a message to the brain to produce Melatonin, which is the chemical in the body what makes up sleepy.
Wear bright colors, like red, white or yellow to stimulate your brain and give you more energy.
