Dr Oz: Ideal Room Temperature to Lose Weight When Sleeping
Dr. Oz says a recent study showed that those who do not get enough sleep at night actually consume 300 more calories per day, which equates to 31 pounds of weight gain in a year. Today he shares the biggest sleep mistakes you are making that could be keeping you fat!
Sleeping too much – While sleeping less than 7 hours a night is not good for you, sleeping more than 9 hours is just as bad because you are moving less and not burning calories. Get 7-9 hours of sleep per night to keep your hormones balanced and prevent weight gain.
Not sleeping in the right temperature – Dr. Oz recommends setting the thermostat to 63 degrees, which is ideal for weight loss, especially when it comes to burning “brown fat”.
Dr Oz: Whisper Secret-Sharing Social Website
There is a new trend taking social media by storm. “Whisper” allows people to share secrets and then a photo is suggested before they share it with the world. Here are a few of Dr. Oz’s favorite health whispers.
- I eat salad with my friends just so they think I’m healthy… The truth is I hate salad!
- My roommate is 19 and she uses anti-aging cream. She says she wants to start early. Welcome to the world we live in, people.
- Think I’m hearing voices and seeing things after my acupuncture treatment… Don’t know what this means.
- I use my ex as motivation while working out – This way if he sees me, he will wish he still had me!
Have you ever tried Whisper? Were you brave enough to post a secret for everyone to see?
