Dr Oz: Warning Signs You Are Aging Too Quickly
Dr. Oz says getting old before your time does not just mean going gray and getting wrinkles too early, so today he has the three warning signs you are aging faster than you should, as well how you can stop it from happening!
Dr Oz: Earlobe Crease Sign of Heart Disease
Dr. Oz says there are actually signs on the outside of your body that can tip you off to ways you are aging too fast on the inside. The first clue can be found in your earlobe. Take a look in the mirror and see if you notice a diagonal crease across your earlobe, which is a sign that the arteries inside your body have gotten thicker. The good news is that you can heal your arteries and lower your risk for heart disease.
Dr Oz: Chronic Red Eye Symptom of Lupus?
The second clue that you are aging too fast can be found in your eyes. Dr. Oz says if you have chronic red eyes it is a sign of inflammation in the body and should not be ignored. He says this kind of redness often occurs in people who have autoimmune disorders such as Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis.
This is because the disorder has destroyed your tear ducts and prevented lubrication in your eyes, which leads to the redness. He says there are actually some antioxidant-rich foods you can add to your diet that will reduce inflammation and diminish the redness in your eyes.
Dr Oz: What Are Club Nails?
The third clue you could be aging too fast is literally on the tip of your finger. Dr. Oz says if you have what is referred to as “Club Nails” it is a sign you are aging too fast. The nail areas of your fingers will begin to appear swollen, which is a warning sign that something could be wrong with your heart or lungs and in some cases it is a sign of cancer. Here is how you can check to see if you have clubbing of the nails.
Take your index fingers and put the bottom knuckles and fingernails against each other in front of your face. There should be a visible diamond shape, but if not you could have the health problems mentioned earlier and should see your doctor.
