Leafy green vegetables are packed with cancer-fighting properties and a study showed that women who eat 1 cup raw or ½ cup cooked every day will cut their risk for ovarian cancer by 60%. Good examples includes kale and spinach.
Cauliflower and cabbage work as “protectors” and eating just ¼ cup of either one cooked every day will cut your risk of cancer in the upper gut area by 50%.
Dr Oz: Swiss Cheese Prevents Lung Cancer in Women
Dr. Oz says that even though most of us associate lung cancer with smokers, they are not the only ones who get the disease because 20% of women who get lung cancer never smoked a day in their life. Dr. Li says there is a surprising food that can actually reduce your risk for lung cancer and it is hard cheese.
Eat about 2 ounces of Yarlsburg, Gouda or Swiss cheese every day to lower your risk for getting lung cancer.
Dr Oz: Eat Less Salt to Reduce Stomach Cancer Risk
Stomach cancer is one of the worst, especially since it can sneak up on you without you realizing it, which is why Dr. Li suggests cutting back on your salt intake. He says we already know that salt is bad for your blood pressure, but now we also know that too much salt is associated with stomach cancer.
