Dr. Oz: Reduce High Blood Pressure & Cholesterol
Dr. Oz introduced a doctor named Rita, who reduced her high blood pressure and cholesterol and made an incredible transformation with advice from Dr. Oz’s show. Rita became a doctor because she wanted to help her grandmother Rose. Health issues run on both sides of her family, including heart attacks, high blood pressure, diabetes, and strokes. She wanted to make sure she could do everything she could to prevent a stroke.

But then she learned from a preventative cardiologist that she had high blood pressure and high cholesterol. She also learned she was pre-diabetic. She was only 30. She said she felt like the biggest fraud after learning this, because she’d tried to live a healthy life.
She recorded every episode of Dr. Oz on diabetes, weight loss, and high cholesterol. She learned there were multiple ways to approach these things. He said to try exercise and plant-based diets. So she took his advice. Now, three years later, she’s off all of her blood pressure medicines and cholesterol medications. And she’s no longer pre-diabetic.
Now, Dr. Rita is paying it forward, writing a healthy living blog and teaching a weekly fitness class. Most importantly, she’s helped educate her community and motivated them to improve their health.
Dr. Oz: Alternative Ways to Cure High Cholesterol & Diabetes
Dr. Rita came by the studio to talk to Dr. Oz about how he inspired her to make a change in her health. Rita said she was motivated to make a change in her life when her grandmother had a massive stroke. She watched everyone in her family go through a number of health issues like amputations and dialysis. She knew that if she was already on three medications at 30 and had all these diagnoses, she was going to follow in their footsteps. She didn’t want to do that, so she sought out alternatives.
That’s when she started watching Dr. Oz and learned that there were alternatives to medication for her when it came cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes. He talked about how you could reverse your illness with diet and exercise. So she started doing that and her numbers started going in the right direction.
Dr. Oz: Helping Others the Way You Were Helped
Because of that, she decided to help others the way Dr. Oz helped her. She said when you’re blessed, then you bless someone else. She also said Dr. Oz saved her so much money on medications. Now, she feels like she’s on this planet to help others.
Dr. Oz said he thought she was doing great work sharing wisdom with people, so he wanted her to have a bigger platform if she wanted. He offered her the chance to blog on his website and she said she absolutely would.
