So many people believe they shouldn’t eat unless they are feeling hungry, but what that does to you physically is continue to build your hunger, rather than shrink it. Eventually Dr. Oz says your hunger will explode, which leads to overeating and your diet goes up in flames. He shared that a recent study showed if you only skipped breakfast, you would consume more calories the whole rest of the day than you would otherwise. The Bottom Line is that waiting until you’re hungry to eat is a myth. You should actually eat several times throughout the day according to Dr. Oz.

This is why, Dr. Oz says, that this myth is actually true. He goes on to say, though, that before you celebrate you should know that it is very rare and only about 5% of people can claim that the thyroid gland is their problem. He says it certainly exists, but for most people it is not the main reason you cannot lose weight.

Science Bob explains that when you eat carbohydrates and protein, it actually helps to increase your energy and fat burning potential. Dr. Oz says the same is actually true for when you eat fats, so this one is actually a myth. Eating fats does not actually make you fatter. He explains that fat is an essential nutrient and even helps to keep you full, but he adds to make sure you are eating healthy fats like olive oil.
