Dr. Oz: Couple Decides to Lose Weight Together

Dr. Oz talked to Chris Powell from Extreme Weight Loss and shared an update on the couple who wanted to lose weight together, Ron and Angela. The two of them made the commitment to lose weight to look food for their wedding.

So Dr. Oz introduced Ron and Angela to Chris Powell and his wife Heidi so they could help them lose the weight. After the show, Ron and Angela started to lose weight, but not fast enough for their wedding. So Dr. Oz sent them to Destination Boot Camp with Chris and Heidi, the facility where people on Extreme Weight Loss are sent to lose the weight. There, they got a full physical and began trying harder to lose weight.

Chris Powell gave them an intense exercise program. This was particularly hard for Ron, who was over 400 pounds.

Dr. Oz: Weight Loss Plateau Diet

To date, Ron has lost almost 46 pounds and Angela has lost 31 pounds. But over the last few weeks, things have started to slow down.

Chris has a solution for weight loss plateaus though. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, you should have Fat Burning Days. On Wednesday and Saturday, you should have a Metabolism Boosting Day.

Dr. Oz: Fat Burning Days

Fat Burning Days are low-carb days, which helps our body to burn the fat. On these days, eat some high fiber carbs (such as tortillas) with some protein and veggies for breakfast. Then, cut out all the carbs. Instead, eat plenty of veggies, protein, fruits, and some health fats. You should do these days back to back so that you can maximize your fat burn.

Dr. Oz: Metabolism Boosting Day

Follow the Fat Burning Days with a Metabolism Boosting Day. On these days, you can have healthy carbohydrates, like a whole grain English muffin or couscous. Again, make sure to have lots of great protein and veggies.

Dr. Oz: Reward Day

What’s on the last day, Sunday? Sunday is the best day of the week because you can have rewards. Don’t go overboard, but you can have a slice of pizza or a hamburger and fries.
