She squeezes a half a lemon into hot water and stirs it up with sugar. Dr. Oz said the part of the brain that’s most connected to the nausea center is the smell center, so if you like the smell of lemons, this should work great for you.
Dr. Oz: Lemons As Deodorant
Melissa was on the show to talk about using lemons as a deodorant. Melissa is into homeopathic remedies and her doctor recommended doing this. She said all she does is cutting half a lemon and rubs it under the armpit. She doesn’t recommend it if you’ve just shaved.
Dr. Oz said this makes a lot of sense because it’s a chemical-free alternative to deodorant. It not only masks the odor of bacteria, it also kills the bacteria, so you don’t make the odor in the first place.
Dr. Oz: Lemons To Get Rid Of Dandruff
Roberta said that women process their hair all the time, so why not use a natural solution for dandruff? Roberta said her grandmother taught her this remedy. All you have to do is put a cup of water into a squeeze bottle with the juice from one lemon. Apply it to the hair and rub it into your scalp, but don’t use it for more than 10 minutes because otherwise it’ll dye your hair. After 10 minutes, wash and shampoo to get rid of it.
Dr. Oz said that vitamin C on top of skin cells helps to exfoliate it. That’s why lemon juice on dandruff works so well.
