Dr. Oz: The Belly Blues
Dr. Oz invited two of his superfans to come on the show after they sent him a goofy video of a blues song they wrote about bad indigestion and the “belly blues.” Let me be clear here: it did not sound good. But they did seem to be having fun and they seemed like really cool people, so I guess Dr. Oz decided to invite them on anyway.

Do you have the belly blues? Dr. Oz talked with the creators of a “Belly Blues” song and helped them learn how to beat it with probiotics and prebiotics. (eddi_07 / flickr)
Lynn and Dahlia joined Dr. Oz in the studio, where they explained that they really did have indigestion. Lynn said her indigestion happens at the worst time. Dahlia noted that sometimes it happens when you want to put on your favorite pair of jeans.
To beat the belly blues, Dahlia tries seltzer water. But she wasn’t sure what else to do.
Dr. Oz: Probiotics & Prebiotics
It turns out to beat the belly blues, you need both probiotics and prebiotics. Probiotics are the good bacteria that we need to help us digest easily. You can find probiotics in foods like yogurt, kefir, and pickles. You can also take a supplement. Prebiotics are also important because they help feed the probiotics. Prebiotics are found in things like bananas, artichokes, honey, garlic, grains, onions, and apples.
The best way to beat the belly blues is to combine these two together to defeat it once and for all.
Dr. Oz: Belly Bliss
Lynn and Dahlia said that if they could fix their belly blues, they would make a song about the “Belly Bliss.” If they do make it, I wonder if Dr. Oz will be sharing it in the coming weeks. I hope so! These girls are a lot of fun, even if they’re not very talented singers. Or maybe the real problem is they don’t know how to harmonize. They seemed okay until they sang together.
Either way, make sure to combine both prebiotics and probiotics when you have the belly blues.
