Dr Oz: Jenna Wolfe, Tricks To Better Health
After introducing his Day-Off Diet, Dr Oz wanted to bring in Jenna Wolfe, author of “Thinner In 30” to share tricks to keep you on track to better health. Jenna said she had to learn to reprioritize everything she was doing, saying that “no time” is no longer an excuse. She suggested taking three days a week to make working out and eating well the first thing on your to-do list throughout the day.
When asked in a huge health poll on DoctorOz.com, 72% said they dread a diet. It’s about self control, explained Jenna, who said you have to train your body how and when to eat and it will become a habit. Dr Oz loves the idea of starting the day with lemon water, while Jenna suggested drinking 20 sips of water, which equates to about 8.5 oz of water.

Dr Oz: Engage Your Core
Approximately 75% of people believe that everyone has control over their weight. Jenna said it’s true because we decide what we put in our bodies, and it’s all about self control and willpower. Dr Oz said a lot of people work hard, but not smart.
Jenna explained how important it is to have a strong core. She suggested working your core from the inside out, all the day long to tone it up and help you slim down. Don’t suck in, just tighten and engage your abdominal muscles.
Dr Oz: Snack Smart
You also want to have the right kinds of snacks. She thoroughly enjoys a whole wheat pita with hummus, tomatoes, and cucumber after a workout. She also likes to get her protein from oatmeal, yogurt, low-fat chicken sausage, and slivered almonds. Try a sweet potato with cottage cheese and Jenna claims your body will thank you!
Dr Oz: Jenna Wolfe Drop-Kick + Cheat Meals
Jenna is hoping to inspire people to make big changs in small ways. If you overwhelm yourself, you’re likely to not stick with it. Jenna then reiterated the importance of a strong core, and then did a “kick drop” where she kicked her leg out before going down into a hand-stand, rolling down onto her stomach, and then coming back up again. Dr Oz attempted it himself and about fell over, but at least he tried!
Even Jenna Wolfe enjoys a cheat day, and loves savory food over sweet foods. She thoroughly enjoys roasted vegetables but she loves popcorn. She doesn’t douse it in butter and will make it herself, but she’ll also drink a diet coke as a cheat. For dinner, she has to restrict herself or else she’ll go overboard, but she loves pizza. She’ll enjoy a veggie-loaded pizza with a thin crust and a little cheese.
Her cheat drink is white wine which she enjoys every once in a while.
Dr Oz: Mother, Son MRI
Dr Oz shared an MRI of a mother cradling her son, pointing out how thin the child’s skull is, as well as the mother’s kiss on the baby’s forehead.
