Dr. Oz: Update on Pastor Renee’s Emotional Eating
Dr. Oz had an update on Pastor Renee, who was struggling with emotional eating until she came on Dr. Oz. She’s a fourth-generation pastor and the mom of two kids. Whenever something major happened in her life, good or bad, she ate bad food. She also said she sometimes closet ate. She always put others first, even at the sake of her own health.

Pastor Renee is one of my favorite guests on Dr. Oz these past few months, because she really did have an incredible story. Everyone can relate to putting others first and emotional eating when they get upset. Pastor Renee was really an inspirational person and I’ve been excited to hear her about journey.
Dr. Oz: Overcoming Emotional Eating
Dr. Oz was able to encourage her to have a healthy lifestyle. Her diet before was full of fried chicken and butter, but now she actually craves vegetables. She has a safety stash for when she has cravings. The snack is cubed cheese, almonds, or cucumber. These right decisions help her be healthier and enhance her life. She also now knows how to balance her own needs with those of others.
Pastor Renee definitely looked great and like she’d lost some weight. Dr. Oz took her to the Truth Tube, where she learned she’d lost 21 pounds and four dress sizes since the last time she was on.
Dr. Oz: Importance of Taking Time For Yourself
Pastor Renee said taking more time to help herself has actually made her time with others more productive. She leads by example now, showing people how to live their lives. She said people could see the change in her. Before when she would minister to people, it was done out of a void and she would still be empty. Now, she feels it herself and her delivery is so much better. She inspired others with her incredible efforts.
