Dr Oz: Diet Personality Quiz
Could a personality quiz really help you lose weight? If you’re desperate to drop a few pounds, it’s certainly worth a try, right? As Dr Oz explained, successful diets factor in your likes and dislikes, behaviors, and habits. He welcomed Jen Widerstrom, author of “Diet Right for Your Personality Type.”
Jen explained that it’s “critical to pay attention to the person” because the individual has to be taken into account if they want to find success. Jen then shared her quiz for everyone to take to help them learn more about their individual type. You can find the quiz on the next page.

Jen Widerstrom: The Rebel vs The Swinger vs Everyday Hero
Rebels are usually unpredictable and thrive with limited structure. They make things up as they go and they tend to not pay attention to portions or hunger cues.
Swingers are usually the life of the party, love what’s trending, and tend to change things around a lot. They may have a harder time sticking to one diet plan or routine.
Finally, the everyday hero is the one that usually spends time helping people and puts themselves last. They also tend to be careless about their personal health.
Dr Oz: The Rebel Diet
Now that you have a better idea of your personality type, you can better understand your faults and what you need to do to overcome your weight loss obstacles.
If you’re a rebel, the kind of diet that may work best for you is one that allows you to sort-of make it up as you go. An example meal that Jen really likes is a breakfast made of one serving of starch, three servings of protein, one serving of vegetables, and a glass of water. You can then choose from a list of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vegetables, and water to make up 5 different meals per day.
Dr Oz: The Swinger Diet
The swingers want to enjoy the food their eating which means incorporating variety. Jen gave swingers options for each meal and snack to give them different foods to choose from. They can choose from different meals and food combinations so at each meal they can decide what they’re in the mood to eat.
Dr Oz: Everyday Hero Diet
The everyday hero will benefit from accessible meals that are easy to put together. You can enjoy a green smoothie for breakfast and grilled chicken in a variety of different ways for lunch and dinner. Try pre-packaged snacks and meals you make yourself and utilize the slow cooker for easy cooking!
