She was going to teach her how to empower and enhance her metabolism.

Haylie Pomroy’s three key areas of focus are cravings, cost, and time. All three of these are real concerns. She said the body has cravings for a reason. It’s the body talking to the brain.
When you crave sugar, your body is telling you something. If you can feed yourself and nourish yourself with natural sugars from fruit, it’ll stave off the craving and answer your body’s request and balance your blood sugar. That’s why Haylie suggests eating a pear when a craving comes along.
Haylie said Jeri can have desserts and she shouldn’t feel guilty about it. But first, she has to nourish herself.
Another suggestion was that if you crave something salty, Haylie suggests squeezing a grapefruit into a glass of water.
Dr. Oz: Getting Around the Cost of Eating Healthy
Haylie Pomroy also had advice for getting around the cost of eating healthy. She said there’s no coupons for vegetables, which is frustrating. She looks for overstocked stuff or goes to the farmer’s market at the end of the day, where there’s often a deal. She’ll buy whatever is on sale, puree it, put it in a freezer bag, and freeze it. You can do this with any vegetable. Haylie uses it for spaghetti sauce, chili, soup, and so on.
Dr. Oz: Bookend Your Meals
Haylie Pomroy said another great thing is bookending meals. Focus on breakfast and inner to help maximize the body’s burn cycles and rest and restoration cycles. By eating whole foods at these times, you can fuel your body with micro-nutrient foods to help your body burn through food.
Haylie is going to work with Jeri to help her lose weight and she was excited to help her. Dr. Oz said he’s going to follow their story.
