Your RealAge could be older or younger than your chronological age, but it is much more important because it reveals the real age of your organs and the truth about how fast you are aging. Dr. Roizen says the best part is that you are in complete control and can lower your RealAge by making small healthy changes.
- Swap out Saturated Fats for Monounsaturated Fats – Eat less cheese and add more foods like Olive oil, avocados and pomegranates. (Takes 2.5 years off your RealAge)
- Eat 3 healthy snacks per day and make sure one of them is nuts. Good choices include walnuts, pistachios and cashews.
- Get up from your chair every 15 minutes and take a 10-minute walk every 2 hours. (Takes 2.1 years off your RealAge)
- Having close friends that you trust and feel vulnerable with will make your RealAge 2 years younger.
