Dr. Oz: Retro Exercise Trends
Dr. Oz talked about some exercises that were popular in the past. He showed some of these health trends to teens in a special video. He showed them a Thigh Master, an Ab Wheel, a power pad and cartridge from the original Nintendo, the chest expander, and a Shake Weight. He also showed them retro aerobic videos from Richard Simmons. Their reactions to these various trends were hilarious.
One of the teens said instead of using the Shake Weight, you should just churn butter, because at least then afterwards you have something to show for it. Another remarked that the chest expander looked more like a torture device than workout equipment.
Dr. Oz: Yoga Class for Decades
Dr. Oz talked to Helena, who started doing yoga in the 1970s and hasn’t missed a day since. She said it started with a yoga class and she loved it so much she kept doing it. Now, she’s a yoga teacher. She went through breast cancer and now she focuses on yoga for women recovering from breast cancer.
Dr. Oz: Leg Warmers Trend
Dr. Oz also talked to Meg, who said that leg warmers are coming back. She grew up ice skating, so she always had leg warmers on. The trend never left her wardrobe. Dr. Oz said they make a lot of sense, but he didn’t think they were fashionable. Meg said all of her kids wear leg warmers to school everyday.
Dr. Oz: Martial Arts Workouts & Spinning
Dr. Oz also showed a video of a martial arts workout from the ’80s. He then revealed his favorite workout is riding a stationary bicycle, which has been popular in one way or another for decades.
Dr. Oz: Daphne Oz Having Another Baby
Daphne Oz showed up on Dr. Oz with a big announcement. The clues she gave were pizza, pillows, and tennis balls.
These hints pointed to the announcement: Daphne Oz is having another baby!
Wait, what? What do pizza, pillows, and tennis balls have to do with anything?
The pizza is because Daphne craves it all the time when she’s pregnant. The pillow is because she’s tired all the time. And the tennis ball is because Daphne’s mother always said she got really good at tennis when she was pregnant with Daphne.
I’m not sure how anyone outside of the Oz family was supposed to guess that, but congratulations, Daphne Oz! The new baby girl or boy will be born in October.
