Dr. Oz said the important thing when choosing a non-dairy milk is getting the right amount of calcium, which is the reason why milk is so important. Soy milk has the most calcium, although almond and rice milk are tied for second. Soy is also the highest in protein.

Dr. Oz revealed on his show that almond milk is the best for weight loss. Almond milk has just 30 calories, whereas soy has 80 calories and rice has 90 calories. Dr. Oz talked to a woman who has lost 32 pounds since switching to almond milk.

But the best non-dairy milk for allergies is rice milk. Make sure to avoid rice milk with thickeners like xanthan gum. It should have a similar consistency to skim milk.
Leah from the audience has allergies. She said she enjoys the taste of rice milk and it’s very delicious. She uses it for smoothies in the morning and for coffee throughout the day. She even makes brownies with it.

But which non-dairy milk has the best taste? Dr. Oz asked a bunch of picky kids to try non-dairy milk in order to find out the most tasty one.
Dane was the representative chosen to reveal the results. He was only 9 years old. He revealed that soy milk had the best taste, followed by almond and coconut.
“It went smoothly I guess. It didn’t taste as bad as the others,” Dane said.
“That’s a rousing endorsement,” Dr. Oz joked.
