Deepak Chopra says the #1 way to keep your brain young is by meditating. He explains that many studies have shown those who meditate actually appear about 10 years younger than their peers who do not meditate. Deepak has 3 steps to meditate and keep your brain young. It requires you sit still and quiet for just a few minutes every day.
How To Meditate & Deepak Chopra Biostat Mantra
- Sit up straight, close eyes, and become aware of your breath.
- Visualize the age you want to be. This is also known as your biostat, which is a mental set point for your biological age.
- Repeat the biostat mantra: “Every day in every way, I’m increasing my physical and mental capacity. My biostat is (insert the age you want to be). I look and feel a healthy (age you chose as your biostat).”
- Repeat those steps and repeat them mentally 5 times per day to improve memory loss and maybe even prevent Alzheimer’s.
