Dr Oz: Childbirth is the Most Profound Miracle
Now that Dr. Oz has armed you with information to go out and purchase the perfect Miracle Skin Treatment known as BB Cream, he is ready to share one more miracle, possibly the most important. He says after having been present for the birth of all four of his children, there is simply no more profound an experience than the miracle of childbirth. Read on as Dr Oz delivers a baby on TV.
I have to agree with Dr. Oz. While nothing compares to the birth of my own two boys, having been at the birth of another baby that wasn’t my own was also incredibly moving. It was a powerful experience that I can’t put into to words and is one I’m truly honored and grateful to have been a part of. Doctor Oz decided to visit the hospital where he practices medicine, New York Presbyterian Columbia, and for the first time on his show he is going to help a woman deliver a baby.
Dr Oz Delivers a Baby
The labor and delivery staff welcomed Dr. Oz to the hospital while explaining their number one priority is to be sure that Mom and baby are both doing well with the aid of a monitor that provides important information, especially the baby’s heartbeat. The first-time parents shared their fears and concerns while Dr. Oz expressed his gratitude to them for allowing him to be a part of something so private and special. They both seem to want what most parents probably do, to have a healthy baby.
Dr. Oz shared that he sees a new baby as a true miracle, with the soon-to-be Dad expressing how much more real it began to feel watching his wife’s belly grow and he could actually feel his baby kicking and moving for himself. The soon-to-be Mom expressed her fear of the unknown and the potential pain at the baby is being born.
After a bit of time, the baby emerged from the birth canal and entered the world to meet her Mom and Dad for the first time, and Dr. Oz, too. He took his first breath and immediately began testing out his lungs. I can personally speak from experience when I say that the sound of a baby crying in a delivery room is like music to your ears.
First Baby Born on Dr. Oz Show
Stacy and Lance came out on stage to officially introduce their new little boy, Christian, to Dr. Oz. Stacy shared what a surreal experience her delivery was, especially the fact that Dr. Oz and his crew were in the room for her baby’s birth. When asked if she thought she would ever give birth on national television, she said she was pretty sure nobody ever thinks they will give birth on television.
As for the birth itself, Stacy says there was nothing like the moment of seeing his little head for the first time. To commemorate the special occasion of being present at the birth of a baby for the first time on his show, Dr. Oz presented Stacy, Lance, and little Christian with a little onesie. On the front were the words “I was born on the Dr. Oz Show.”
