Dr. Oz: Inexpensive Solution for Allergies
Dr. Oz talked about the biggest budget boosters. He talked to Natalie McNeal, author of The Frugalista Files. Natalie said she wasn’t always savvy about money. Once, she had $20,000 worth of debt and always ate out, rather than eating at home. She decided to live a frugal life within her budget to get rid of her debt, without giving up the lifestyle she’d been accustomed to. This is the journey she wrote about in her book and it’s that knowledge she brought to Dr. Oz to share with us.

The first expensive health product you can avoid is allergy medication. Allergy medication is very expensive. If you have allergies regularly, Natalie suggested you try nettle tea instead. Nettle tea relieves itchy eyes and sneezing. She said most people have allergies whenever the weather changes. So when allergy season comes around, buy nettle tea and start drinking.
Dr. Oz: Dish Soap Vs. Shaving Cream
Natalie McNeal also recommended we stop buying shaving cream. Instead, we should use dish soap. Dr. Oz talked to Jennifer from the audience, who tested out doing this on Dr. Oz’s stage. She’d also been doing it for a week at home. Jennifer said when you rub it on, there is a visible layer and it’s very smooth. She also said her husband loved it.
Dr. Oz: Men’s Razors Vs. Women’s Razors
Natalie also said that there’s a thing called “gender pricing.” Sometimes, when companies make something in pastel colors and add a flower to market to women, they jack up the price. Natalie said when it comes to shaving, use men’s razors.
“When it comes to shaving, think like a man, shave like a man,” Natalie McNeal said. The Frugalista Files is out now.
