Dr. Oz: Measles Outbreak
Dr. Oz talked about the Measles outbreak. He urged parents to get themselves vaccinated and to vaccinate their kids. Measles is one of the most contagious viruses known. In an unvaccinated population, it only takes one person to infect up to 18 people. One dose of the measles vaccine gives us about 93% protection.
Dr. Oz acknowledged that a lot of people believe vaccines have given their kids complications. But Dr. Oz spoke to the Centers for Disease Control, the National Institutes of Health, and Autism Speaks. All of them agree vaccines do not cause autism.

If you were born before 1957, you’re considered immune to measles. Back then, a lot of people were exposed to the measles. If you were born later than that and you’re not vaccinated or the vaccine has worn off, then you need to talk to your doctor and get the measles vaccine.
Dr. Oz: Who Needs the Measles Vaccine?
People who are in most need of getting the vaccine so they don’t get and spread measles are students over the age of 18, healthcare workers, international travelers, and people in close contact with newborn babies. These people need to talk to their doctors and make sure they’re protected.
It’s our responsibility to protect our children and the people most at risk from getting this virus. Make sure you get the facts about vaccines and make the right decision.
Dr. Oz: How Old Is This Woman?
Dr. Oz also talked to people who have secrets to looking decades younger without surgery. One woman named Cyndy looked incredibly younger than her real age. Dr. Oz asked his audience to vote on her age. Dr. Oz’s audience voted on whether she’s 26, 36, 46, 56, or 66 years old.
I thought 36 years old personally. 48 percent of the audience guessed 36, with 37 percent guessing 46 years old.
Cyndy joined Dr. Oz and said she’s 56 years old. She actually has kids that are 34, 30, and 21 years old.
Dr. Oz: Moisturize While Skin Is Still Damp
So what’s Cyndy’s secret? Cyndy said when she was 40, she met a woman from the Philippines with beautiful skin. This woman told her that when she gets out of the shower, she pats down her skin, but leaves it moist. Then, she moisturizes her skin all over her body, playing special attention to the areas of her body that she might not like. So Cyndy started doing this and that’s what’s kept her young. Cyndy said in the Philippines, they don’t have cellulite.
Dr. Oz: Eye Cream
Cyndy said she also uses eye cream that contains antioxidants. She said she links it’s great. She uses it for her wrinkles on her forehead and dabs it all over.
Dr. Oz: How to Look Young
Next, there was Mimi. The audience voted again on whether she’s 36, 46, 56, 66, or 76. I thought 66 personally. 52 percent of people said 66. Mimi definitely did not look as young as Cyndy.
Mimi came out and revealed she’s 76 years old. She said sometimes she tells people she’s 93 so that they’re even more impressed. Mimi said she thought that when you feel young, you look young. She said we shouldn’t worry so much about how we look and instead focus on the inside.

Dr. Oz: How to Look Younger
Then there was a woman named Jody. The audience voted on whether she was 42, 52, or 62. 52 percent of the audience voted she was 42 years old. They were right, but Jody said she looks and feels much older.
Jody went to the Nunzio Salviano salon in New York City, where Dr. Oz assembled a dream team of stylists to give her a transformation.
Dr. Oz: Makeup & Hair Tips For Looking Younger
Their makeover tips included shortening her hair to add more body to the hair and bangs to hide wrinkles. Highlights also brighten the skin tone.
Contouring with makeup can help make you look younger. Mix one part liquid foundation with liquid lumiere and spread it on the skin from the center of the skin outward. This helps bring a radiance to the skin.
Bronzer underneath the cheekbone can also help emulate a facelift. To hide puffy eyes, apply concealer to the inner corner of the eye area and gently blend out.
Dr. Oz: How to Dress Younger
Monochromatic clothing that’s comfortable will help you look great and feel confident. This can flatter and elongate the body. Fading from dark to light, depending on your body type, can flatter your body shape.
Jody really did look great after it was all done. Dr. Oz said she looked 32, rather than 42.
