Dr. Oz: Pegan Diet Craze
For a while there in the early 2000s, the vegan diet was the big craze. Everyone knew someone who was trying it, whether for dietary or moral reasons. This was the diet that said you should skip animal products like meat, eggs, and dairy. In many cases and for many people, it was hard to argue with the results: shrinking waistlines, less inflammation, and less issues like heartburn and allergies.
And then for the past few years, the Paleo diet has had a big moment in the dietary history of the world. This is a diet that suggests we go back to the diet of our ancestors, hens the “paleo”. People eat whole grains, lots of organic fruit and veggies, and free range and antibiotic-free meat.
But now, it seems people have combined the two. They’re calling it the Pegan diet and people who are doing it are in love with what it’s doing to their body and their health. Find out more about this great diet craze on May 4, 2015!
