Dr Oz Beet Juice Recipes For Blood Pressure & Beet Juice Popsicles

Dr Oz: Beet Juice Recipes

Blood pressure is linked to aging and can be difficult to control. But now there is a super solution that can go to work almost instantly: beet root juice. What can you do to improve the taste of beets? You could make Dr Oz’s Beet Juice Recipes, including a Pineapple Beet Treat Recipe or even Beet Juice Popsicles, all of which the audience thought tasted better than regular beet juice all on its own.

Dr Oz Beet Juice Recipes For Blood Pressure & Beet Juice Popsicles

Dr Oz and viewers made Beet Juice Recipes to improve the taste of this vegetable that has now been proven to lower blood pressure.

“Drinking beet root juice can lower your blood pressure, in some cases by as much as 10 points,” Dr Oz said. Could it be the healthy solution for you?

Dr Pina LoGiudice was back with Dr Oz, saying that beets should be considered a super food for health, alongside salmon and blueberries.

She said that just a cup of beets can increase stamina and blood flow throughout the body. This is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory ingredient that can detox your body.

Dr Oz: Reversing High Blood Pressure With Beets

With 77 million people at risk for high blood pressure, Dr Oz was excited to share how Beet Juice can work in your body. Once broken down into the body, Beet Juice helps to dilate the blood vessels to improve blood flow and lower your blood pressure.

There are many varieties of beets, and they are all good for you. Beta carotene can be responsible for differences in color. As long as you are juicing the beet, not the greens, you will be in good shape.

You can also consume beets in solid form, but cooking or pickling processes can lower the nutrient levels and make them less effective for blood pressure regulation.

Dr Oz: Beet Juice Dosage

Drink one eight-ounce glass of Beet Juice each day to lower your blood pressure by as much as 10 points. The cost is minimal, especially if you are juicing it yourself at home. At a juice bar, it could run you $4-7.

Dr Oz: Beet Juice Side Effects

Beets can produce a red color in the urine or stool, so if you are eating or drinking beets, don’t be alarmed if you see a red color in the bathroom.

Dr Oz: Pineapple Beet Treat Smoothie Recipe

Viewer Adria came up with a Pineapple Beet Treat Smoothie Recipe to mitigate some of the earthy flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 Beet Roots
  • 1 cup Pineapple
  • 1 Navel Orange
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Ice

Directions

  1. Combine the beet juice with the pineapple, orange, water, and ice.

An audience taste tester who passed on the regular beet juice approved of this tropical smoothie version.

Dr Oz: Can’t Beet It Juice Drink Recipe

Viewer Suzy also loves beets, and she shared her Can’t Beet It Recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Beet Juice
  • 1 cup Carrots
  • 1/2 cup Apples
  • 2 tbsp Lime Juice
  • Agave Nectar

Directions

  1. Combine ingredients in a blender.

The trick to this is the agave nectar, which Suzy said makes it kid-friendly. A woman who said the original beet juice tasted like dirt said this recipe was better than straight beet juice.

You could also make it into these Purple Pick-Me-Up Popsicle Recipe from the show.

  • 1 medium Beetroot
  • 1 cup Blood Orange Juice
  • 1 Lemon, juiced

Directions

  1. Puree ingredients in a blender and pour into popsicle molds.
  2. Freeze until solid. Serve chilled.

These popsicles passed the taste test as well. Even though Dr Oz said he loves the taste of Beet Juice, he agreed that these recipes were delicious as well.
