Dr Oz: Give Cottage Cheese Another Chance
Speaking of health foods you’ll want to start eating, there’s another food that can help with weight loss, cravings, and blood pressure. Unbelievably, it’s actually a cheese! Dr Oz pulled out a time capsule from 1975 and revealed that the “forgotten food” he was referring to was cottage cheese! It drastically decreased in popularity in recent years, but it’s time for cottage cheese to make a comeback!
Apparently, there’s a new and improved version of cottage cheese and when taste-tested, 57% of Dr Oz’s audience chose the new cottage cheese over Greek yogurt. It’s time to say goodbye to lumpy cottage cheese and give creamy, smooth cottage cheese a chance. If texture is a problem for you, you’ll likely love whipped cottage cheese. Take regular cottage cheese and put it in a food processor. It’s that easy! Of course, you can also buy whipped cottage cheese with sweet and savory flavors at the grocery store!

According to Dr Oz, cottage cheese is making a major comeback, but it’s more than just a side item. You can even make healthy pancakes with it! (notahipster / Flickr)
Cottage cheese has more protein than Greek yogurt, and can lower cholesterol, blood pressure, and fasting blood sugars. Plus, the full-fat version is the way to go because it keeps you fuller longer as a slow-digesting milk protein. But how can you enjoy it other than just right out of the bowl?
