Dr Oz: Goat’s Milk vs Cow Milk
Dr Oz got the latest scoop on a Super Milk straight from the source – Planet Green’s The Fabulous Beekman Boys, Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Dr. Brent Ridge. Doctor Oz asked them what is better about Goat Milk versus regular Cow Milk? The Beekman Boys said that goat milk is lower in fat, but also, there are many people who cannot tolerate drinking cow’s milk because they are lactose intolerant, but goat’s milk does not irritate their digestive system in the same way. So if you think you are lactose intolerant, you might want to give Goat’s Milk a try, or at least discuss it with your doctor as an option.

Dr Oz actually milked a goat named Ginger, but he said it was not easy. Josh Kilmer-Purcell said that they did not plan to have goats on a farm, but after receiving a letter from Farmer John who needed a new home for his goats, they could not pass up the opportunity. Doctor Oz asked Josh and Brent how people can get Goat’s Milk, since most of us do not raise goats in our backyard. They said that you can find Goat Milk in most health food stores.
The Fabulous Beekman Boys made a Supermilk Smoothie, which is great for people with allergies to Cow Milk or for people who want to make a low-fat smoothie at home for much less than it costs to buy it at a restaurant. The smoothie is made of goat milk yogurt, a banana, honey, fruit and goat milk. They said that you can use frozen fruit to make the smoothie colder and thicker. You can also use ice to get the same effect. If you want to thin out the smoothie, just add more goat’s milk. Dr Oz said that the smoothie tasted great!
