Kitchen Diva Power Bar Recipe
Dr Oz did a segment with the Kitchen Diva Angela Medearis to teach us about Healthy Snack Alternatives like her Power Bar Recipe. Doctor Oz has had the Kitchen Diva on his show before when they did segments such as the following: Dr Oz: Energy Boosting Stuffed Peppers and The Kitchen Diva’s Chicken Pot Pie Recipe. This time though, Angela Medearis focused on transforming unhealthy snacks into foods that are good for you. She headed to the South Street Seaport in New York City to swap bad snacks from the food court with healthy snack alternatives. She replaced one lady’s soft pretzel, which has over 700 calories, for a ziploc bag of regular crunchy pretzels. Next, she swapped a man’s ice cream sandwich for a baggy of candied nuts. And finally she took away an oily piece of food court pizza and gave the girl some “Diva Pizza” made out of chicken, spinach and whole wheat pizza dough instead.
Dr Oz Power Bar Recipe
The Kitchen Diva brought her new pizza-loving friend back to the Dr Oz Show to make a healthy snack called the Kitchen Diva Power Bars. These are like the power bars that you buy at the grocery store, but they cost much less and are far healthier since you choose all of the ingredients that goes into them. The dry ingredients included rolled oats, sunflower seeds, wheat germ, whole wheat flour, dried apricots, raisins and almonds. And the wet ingredient mixture was made of a banana, soft tofu, cinnamon, nutmeg, agave syrup, vanilla and eggs. Angela Medearis told Doctor Oz that each Power Bar is probably only around 200 calories, but the power you gain from eating them and the money that you save are both priceless!
