Dr Oz: Low-Calorie, Guilt-Free Margaritas
What goes better with guacamole than a margarita? So many margaritas can be absolutely loaded with sugar and calories, which is why Dr Oz brought together a few bartenders to create a healthy, low-calorie margarita you can feel okay about drinking! The bartenders were big fans of fresh herbs, especially mint. The trick is to muddle it into the glass to incorporate the flavor. You then have to have a good tequila, of course! An ounce of tequila is typically between 64 and 69 calories. You can then add the juice of 2-3 limes for natural and healthy flavor.
To get a larger drink without all the calories, try adding fresh cucumber juice, but be sure to peel and remove the cucumber seeds before juicing. You can then add some cayenne pepper mixed with salt to rim the glass. It will add a bit of salty and spicy flavor to the drink. A typical restaurant-style margarita will have around 300 calories. This version has just 84 calories with no additives for chemicals!
