Dr Oz: Near Death Experience & Glimpse Of Heaven
Tracy Morgan spoke with Oprah about his time in a coma after a serious car accident that nearly took his life. He remembered coming face to face with his father, who told him he wasn’t ready for him yet, and believes that may be the reason he lived, rather than dying. Of the thousands of near-death experiences that have been studied, many report a reunion with a deceased loved one. One of those people is Julie, who had no brain function after a devastating car accident.
Julie was in a coma, but remembers being in a vast open area with no floors or ceilings. “I knew I was there because I was dead,” Julie said.
She remembered seeing a narrow aisle lit brightly, and was drawn to walk down that aisle. She felt at peace, like she had gone home and was where she needed to be. The next thing she knew, she was with her two deceased grandmothers. She encouraged them to go with her down the aisle, but they told her “no, you can’t go with us. You have to go back.”
Dr Oz: Miraculous Near-Death Experience
She told her grandmothers that she couldn’t go back because she wasn’t physically okay, as she pointed to the side of her body that was paralyzed. Her grandmother looked at her through eyes that appeared as “intense tunnels of blue light.” Her grandmother said “your body will heal. Go back and be happy.”
The next memory she had after that was waking up from the coma.
Dr Oz looked at Julie’s medical records from the day of the accident and noticed how grim her report was. Her brain was swollen, her pupils weren’t moving, and she was making motions that people tend to make when their brains are about to stop functioning. Her neurosurgeon told her there was a death rate of 96%, that 96% of people with her injury die within the first 24 hours. Of the few people that live longer than that, most will end up in a nursing home or dead from complications. “They call it a miracle,” Julie said.
Dr Oz: No Longer Afraid Of Dying
Julie shared that she will welcome death when it comes because she feels like she went home. She’ll be happy to go back there once again, and doesn’t fear it at all. She believes she’s on borrowed time, and we’re all here for a purpose: to be the best we can be.
Dr Oz: Without Oxygen For 10 Minutes & Lived
Dr Oz then explained that the most common feeling among those who have near-death experiences is a general feeling of peace. For Darnisha, she went on a routine scuba diving trip with her husband in Northern Michigan. They were exploring the bottom for about 30 minutes when Scott noticed bubbles coming out of the air holes on Darnisha’s buoyancy control vest. The vest is what gives you the buoyancy you need to go up to the surface and float if you need to, but Darnisha’s was malfunctioning.
Scott motioned to Darnisha to get up to the surface, and she made it, but then she couldn’t get the hose to attach to the vest. At the same time, her dive weights were pulling her down. Because her vest was deflated, she was having a hard time staying afloat. When Darnisha didn’t return, Scott made his way to the surface. Darnisha could feel herself drowning, slowly drifting off as she slipped under the water. From what they could tell, Darnisha was without oxygen for about 10 minutes.
Dr Oz: Woman Nearly Died & Saw Heaven
Darnisha remembered telling the Lord that she trusted him once she realized she wasn’t going to be able to avoid drowning. It was then that she felt peace and started to drift away. When she woke up, she was on her knees in a beautiful, peaceful, pure place. She remembered seeing thousands of people walking through a gateway but didn’t recognize any of them. She heard a voice that was telling her “now that you’re here, this is what you’re supposed to do.”
She saw an angel standing next to a desk who spoke to her without moving her lips, as if they were speaking telepathically. All the while, Scott tried to perform CPR on his wife, after finding her with her eyes wide open and mouth full of water. She now tells people to cherish their lives and know that the afterlife is very real.
