Dr Oz: Organic White Tea
Megan, an audience member, told Dr Oz that she drank a lot of coffee for an energy boost, but it doesn’t last.
By the afternoon, she was sluggish again. Megan told Doctor Oz that she drank 6-8 cups per day.
Dr Oz told Megan that caffeine is not a problem, but drinking too much may give you an addiction and can over-rev your engine. When this happens, you find that by the afternoon, you’re tired again.
Alternatives to caffeine:
Organic White Tea-switch your morning coffee to white tea. You can save the coffee for later in the day. Megan tried the white tea and said it was smooth and light.
Dr Oz: Guarana
Teraine, an audience member, told Dr Oz that she was always sick. Because of her sickness, she felt tired, run down and had lack of energy. Dr Oz says that energy goes hand-in-hand with the immune system. To avoid caffeine withdrawal, Doctor Oz suggested 200-800mg of guarana per day. Guarana contains a different form of caffeine. Dr Oz did another segment on this powerful option, read more here: Guarana Energy Drink.
Dr Oz Indian Jam: Chyawanprash
-comes from India
-boost your immunity with Indian jam, which contains chyawanprash

Water Rich Foods
Siobhan, an audience member, suffered from exhaustion. She admitted that her diet has been lacking and she was not good with willpower when it came to eating properly. (Aside from Dr Oz, who is?) By the afternoon, Siobhan was exhausted. Dr Oz suggested staying away from packaged products. While water is good, Doctor Oz says water should come from water-rich foods too.
-Celery (96 percent water)
Dr Oz: Palm Kernel Oil
The types of fats we eat can determine our energy levels. If you consume too many of the wrong kinds of fats, energy is consumed in trying to digest them.
Dr Oz: Coconut Oil
-immediately broken down by the liver
-provides the brain with sugar in the middle of the day
-coconut oil makes food tastes exotic
-add coconut oil to oatmeal instead of butter or replace olive oil with coconut oil
I bet you could incorporate coconut oil into these Coconut Palm Sugar Recipes, as a butter substitute.
Dr Oz: Cordyceps Mushroom Extract
-take 3g per day
-take this instead of energy drinks. Some energy drinks are high in caffeine.
Dr Oz also said that Cordyceps Mushrooms fight fatigue!
L-Carnitine Supplement Pills

-available in health food stores

-place your fingers beneath your Adam’s apple
-feel for the trachea
-if you can feel the thyroid, that’s good.
Other complex carbs include:
-whole grain pasta
Doctor Oz suggested drinking 1 glass of black currant juice per day to help reduce inflammation.
Kathy tried it and liked it. (You know they like it when they go back for a second sip.)
