As part of Dr. Oz’s 100th show, he brought on the Dr. Oz 100 (100 people who lost at least 100 pounds). Merrill was one of the Dr. Oz 100 and lost almost 200 pounds. After having two sons, she stopped exercising. Her weight ballooned to 380 pounds. Even the largest size at the big lady stores did not fit her. Merrill stopped going out with her husband because she did not want to embarrass him. Her son got into a fight at school because one of the other kids called his mother fat. Merrill had to do something… and after reading Dr. Oz’s book, YOU: On A Diet Revised Edition: The Owner’s Manual for Waist Management, Merill was armed and ready to lose her weight.
The reason that the plan in YOU: On A Diet Revised Edition: The Owner’s Manual for Waist Management worked for Merrill is because its not about dieting, it is about changing your life. Merrill urges everyone to get the book today… she said that we should not wait until tomorrow to start losing weight… you should be the first one to take your kids on a ride at the amusement park! Losing weight has totally changed Merrill. She is happier, has good self esteem and can go on trips and outings with her husband without feeling ashamed of how she looks.
Dr. Oz took Merrill to the truth tube, and her waist went from 49″ to 32″, her blood pressure (and this is without medication now) went from 160/106 to 122/84, her BMI went from 56 (morbidly obese) to 27, and she lost a total of 182 pounds!

Merrill’s Weight Loss Secret #1: Sunday is Prep Day
On Sunday afternoon, Merrill prepares 5 lunches and snacks for her to take to work all week.
Merrill’s Weight Loss Secret #2: Sugar-Free Popsicles
Whenever Merrill gets a craving for something sweet, she heads to the freezer for a sugar-free popsicle. Since these are 15 calories each, even if she has two, its not a problem. Dr. Oz’s favorite popsicles are red (just like me!) and Merrill loves the blue ones… what a great tip! Thanks for sharing all of these with us Merrill!
