Dr Oz: Adrenal Fatigue Siberian Ginseng Remedy

Dr Oz: Siberian Ginseng Pills

Do you always feel tired? The Adrenal gland is the organ that may make you feel 10 years older than you should. For this segment, Dr Oz introduced Rochelle, who stated that she always felt tired. Rochelle was a recent newlywed and admitted to Dr Oz that she’s not as “rambunctious” as her husband would like her to be. Dr Oz then asked her what she would do if she had more energy and she stated she would like to run and knit. (Knit? Really? She just told Doctor Oz that her husband was looking for a little more nookie and she stated she wanted to knit?) Take the fatigue quiz. If you answered yes to 3 or more of the questions, you may have Adrenal Fatigue.

Dr Oz: Fatigue Quiz

1. Do you wake up tired even after a good night sleep? Dr Oz Siberian Ginseng Pills
2. Are you gaining weight in your middle? (Who isn’t?)
3. Do you crave salty foods?
4. Are you irritable and pessimistic all the time? (Again, who isn’t?)
5. Do you have a interest in your husband or wife? (I don’t think so, but ask my husband and he may say different.)

Whether adrenal fatigue is real has been debated for years. This condition can make you feel 10 years older and is often likened to what many refer to as “burnout.”

Dr Oz had Rochelle put on the gloves. He showed Rochelle a kidney and she felt it. (Yuck!) Attached to the kidney was a fatty pad, which was the adrenal gland. The adrenal gland made cortisol, adrenaline and testosterone. The adrenal gland was located in the middle part of the body and sits on top of the kidneys. A normal adrenal gland had plenty of cells. When you got tired or burned out, the cells shrink and ended up looking like a raisin. Adrenal fatigue happened when the cells weren’t receiving enough blood.

-Take 170 g a day of protein. Do this by eating protein at every meal. Consume protein powders and bars without a lot of fat.
– Take 1000 mg per day of vitamin C
-Siberian Ginseng. Take 100 mg 2x per day. This helps your body cope with stress. Dr Oz stated that he took his with vodka. (Couldn’t tell if he was kidding or not!) Siberian Ginseng took approximately 2 weeks to work.

Vitamin world actually sells this, and it’s 500mg. My husband and I bought it from there, and surprisingly at a very low price. INFACT, most of the supplements Dr.Oz talks about; I seem to find it at Vitamin world.

Kami, I found Siberian Ginseng at, the Bulk Barn, a bulk food store in Canada. Try a bulk food store in your area.

Here’s a better way to search for it: Eleuthero (Siberian Ginseng). I take another natural supplement but added 800 mg 2X per day to help with my adrenals~ feeling much better!

Those wondering Panax ginseng is considered in TCM to be a warming herb so if you have internal heat symptoms then it will make them worse. Of course it is a adaptogen etc as described in the West. Panax ginseng is usually used when your 50years of age or more and I would stear clear of it if your prone to anxiety or nervousness. Siberian ginseng is on the other hand can be soothing on nerves while still being a adaptogen. The herb I would use for adrenal gland exhaustion would be Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra), you can find this dirt cheap at Asian supermarkets in the form of root slices.
    Hope this helps 🙂
