Doctor Oz is asked all the time if people are normal. He had three people ask their questions and answered if it is “normal.” Normal in this context means that the issue is safe and not a medical problem to be worried about.
Jayme asked if it is normal that she gets severe cramps that feel like menstrual cramps when she is in love. If you have any bleeding or irregularity, you should go to a doctor.
Nathan asked if it normal for a person to crack or pop their fingers and neck when they get nervous. Dr. Oz said that cracking of your fingers or knuckles is not a huge problem. However, cracking your neck can be a huge problem, because there is an artery right next to your spine and when you crack your neck you can actually snap it and cut off the blood supply to your brain which can cause a stroke.
Roxanne asked if it is normal that her left knee starts to tingle when she has to pee, and if she holds in her pee then her entire left leg starts to tingle. Dr. Oz said that this is an uncommon problem, but not a dangerous or worrisome problem. Roxanne’s pelvic nerves are crisscrossing with her nerves that run down her leg and basically “short circuiting” each other.
