Dr Oz: Carrie Fisher’s Untimely Death
Carrie Fisher’s death certainly left many people with questions. If she didn’t get on the plane that day, could her life have been saved? Reporter Michael Yo talked to emergency medical expert John Everlove who analyzed the reports and medical details. He just may have an answer.
With 25 years experience as a paramedic, John stated that survivability is simply hard to predict. He could, however, say that Carrie was in cardiac arrest for 10 minutes on the flight coming into Los Angeles. That means she wasn’t breathing and didn’t have a pulse. Those factors make survivability challenging.

Dr Oz: Could Carrie Fisher’s Life Have Been Saved?
Everything we do to our bodies matters but it’s hard to say whether the drugs and alcohol she used in her life contributed to her untimely death. John explained that Carrie went into cardiac arrest in an environment that was challenging. However, she was resuscitated and survived for four days. It seems like everything that could have been done to save Carrie’s life was done.
Dr Oz then shared that he personally takes an aspirin before every flight he goes on because he wants to avoid any problems while flying. Along with a memorial, fans of Carrie are keeping her spirit alive by taking part in anything related to Star Wars.
