Doctor Oz received a plea from a mom who needed help for her adult daughter who has been struggling with her weight, has been a diabetic since she was in her late 20’s and takes a whole collection of medicines for blood pressure, cholesterol, acid reflux and more. Bob Harper, from the Biggest Loser, was sent to surprise and ambush the daughter, so with no advanced warning, she would not be able to clean out the fridge or prepare.
Dr Oz took her daughter to the Truth Tube and saw that her waist was 44 inches, her fasting glucose was 154 (anything over 120 is diabetic) and the sugar on her red blood cells – called Hemoglobin A1c way 8.7 (and a1c should be in the range of 5).
