Doctor Oz did a segment on “Can Eating Certain Foods Make You Smell?” with a game called Food Private Eye. He had one person eat curry food for several days, one person eat garlic for several days and one person who ate her normal food. Then another person was blindfolded and smelled each person’s arm to try and determine who ate curry, who ate garlic and who did nothing.
Jake Ward told Dr Oz that the smell from certain foods comes from sulfur, found in curry powder, garlic and onions. The smell passes through your lungs much more than through your skin. So the sulfur coming from your lungs is what you can really smell.
