Dr Oz’s Cleanest Fruits & Vegetables in America

What do you think has fewer pesticides: onions or shallots?

Onions are protected from pesticides by their thick skin that protects them and keeps the pesticides from reaching the part of the vegetable that you eat.

What do you think has fewer pesticides: zucchini or corn?

Corn has big strong husks that protects the corn from pesticides and acts as a barrier between the pesticides and the corn kernels.  Dr Oz also said that since the corn grows tall, the distance between corn and the pesticides in the soil is greater than many other fruits and vegetables.

What do you think has less pesticides: kiwi or plums?

Dr Oz said that kiwi’s are the cleanest fruit in America.  The rough skin on the outside of the kiwi, which most people do not eat, protects the inside of the kiwi from the pesticides getting through.
