Dr Oz: Sesame Oil Massage Boosts Energy
Dr Oz did a segment on the Holistic Medicine approach to the exhaustion epidemic in this country. Dr Deepak Chopra shared completely natural ways to boost your energy by increasing your metabolism. All you need are simple things like Sesame Oil, Ginseng Tea and a Nighttime Cocktail with a Valerian Supplement! Do not worry, I will elaborate on all of these, but lets first start with how to boost your energy in the morning.
Deepak Chopra said that when you first wake-up, you should drink a glass of warm water. This will help with a bowel movement and keep you regular. Then, before you leave the house, give yourself a Sesame Oil massage on your hands and feet. Massage in clockwise circular motions. You can even massage your wrists, earlobes and forehead if you have time. Chopra told Dr Oz that this helps to calm your nervous system while invigorating it. Plus, it calms your stress hormones. If you do not have or do not like Sesame Oil, Chopra said you can also use olive oil or even coconut oil.
Dr Oz: Ginseng Tea After Lunch
Deepak Chopra told Dr Oz that you should reverse your meal patterns to boost your energy in the afternoon. Instead of having your main meal at night, have it during lunch. Food is converted to energy instead of fat this way. Plus, your digestive enzymes are more active and have the whole afternoon to metabolize your meal. Finally, follow-up your lunch with a cup of Ginseng Tea, which is a mild stimulant that increases your metabolism.
Dr Oz: Night Cocktail & Valerian Supplement
Dr Chopra told Dr Oz that your metabolism slows down at night, which is a good thing since it is necessary to get a good night’s sleep. He suggested drinking a Night Cocktail made of equal parts of lemon juice, water, ginger root juice and honey. Then take a Valerian Supplement. Together, these will help you to have a deeper sleep so that you have more energy the next day.
Doctor Oz also suggested sleeping from 10 pm to 6 am to get the most ideal sleep.
