Dr Oz Fast Food Diet: Subway, KFC, McDonalds, Taco Bell & Wendys

Dr Oz’s Fast Food Diet

Dr Oz created a Fast Food Diet, because he knows that many of us are going to eat at Fast Food Restaurants no matter what.  So the good news is that he figure out a way to eat at places like Subway, KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken), McDonalds, Taco Bell and Wendys for 1500 calories, 15 grams of saturated fat and 5-6 servings of vegetables per day.  Here is a recap of another show where he gave healthy alternatives to order at Fast Food Chains as well: Dr Oz: Fast Food Quick Fixes: Taco Bell, McDonalds & Wendy’s. Want to know Doctor Oz’s Fast Food Restaurant picks?  Here is what he suggested:

Dr Oz McDonalds Diet

Doctor Oz went to McDonalds and ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, a fruit and walnut salad, and an apple dipper.  One of his tricks was to order extra Dr Oz Fast Food Dietlettuce and tomato on his sandwich, and then he used the lettuce to make the chicken sandwich into a lettuce chicken wrap (and he threw out the bun!).  Also, just because the apple dippers are called “dippers,” it does not mean you have to dip them!  You can eat them plain.

Dr Oz’s final suggestion for McDonalds was to order an Asian Salad with Grilled Chicken and to use only half a packet of the low fat sesame ginger dressing.  Make sure you skip the empty calories found in a soda and drink water instead.  This will equal only 315 calories and 1 gram of saturated fat – not bad!

Dr Oz KFC Diet

Doctor Oz ordered a grilled chicken breast, green beans and corn on the cob without butter at KFC.  He said that the corn on the cob was some of the best that he ever tasted.  As long as you remove the skin from the grilled chicken breast, this dinner at Kentucky Fried Chicken has only 210 calories and 2.5 grams of fat.

Dr Oz Subway Diet

Dr Oz ordered a 6″ sub with turkey, tons of spinach, onions, tomatoes, peppers and mustard as his condiment (because it has no fat).  Plus he said that you should always opt for the 9-grain bread over the white bread.

He also found a great breakfast option at Subway which is their egg white sandwich with veggies on wheat bread.  You can also have a side of apple slice and coffee (without cream and sugar of course).  This Subway Diet Breakfast is high in fiber and antioxidants and contains 465 calories and 5 grams of saturated fat.  Doctor Oz said that 80% of people who lose weight and keep it off eat breakfast regularly.

Dr Oz Taco Bell Diet

Dr Oz found a Diet Lunch at Taco Bell by ordering from their Fresco Style menu, which replaces cheese and heavy sauces with a freshly made salsa (which really is delicious – I have tried it before!).  You can have one bean burrito and one chicken soft taco, both Fresco Style, for 500 calories and 3.5 grams of saturated fat.

Dr Oz Wendys Diet

Doctor Oz’s final Fast Food Diet Dinner was at Wendy’s, where he ordered a 12 ounce beef chili with a side salad.  This has a total of 320 calories and 3.5 grams of saturated fat.

Dr Oz put two ladies on his Fast Food Diet for just one week, and they said that they felt more energetic by the end of the week.  And guess how much weight they lost?  Almost a pound every day!  One lady lost 5 pounds and the other lost 6 pounds, which seems extremely impressive for a Fast Food Diet Plan!

Shame on Dr. Oz. Why doesn’t he know about physician’s study findings on KFC’s chickn that reveals carcinogens? This isn’t “new” information.
