Doctor Oz reviewed a bunch of home remedies and this particular home remedy is a great face mask made out of yogurt, sunflower oil and lemon juice.

Doctor Oz agreed that if you make a mixture of natural yogurt, sunflower oil, and lemon juice – blend it well – apply it to your face -wash off gently and pat dry… you will have a beautiful complexion!  Yogurt has lactic acid for exfoliating, sunflower oil seals in moisture and lemon juice is a natural whitener that prevents age spots.  Here are more DIY home remedies.

Hi – I would also like more information for this remedy. I understand why they wouldn’t have time to cover to this kind of stuff in the show, but the show’s website would be the perfect opportunity to put in this kind of info. Too bad they don’t do that.

I’d like to know the measurements for these ingredient and I’d like to know exactly how to use this. Do I have to use a moisturizer after I rinse this off, or does it act as a moisturizer itself? Do I need to wash my face beforehand, or is this a total cleanser? More and more info, please!

I would also like to know the portions to mix in too. They never did say on the show how much yogurt, lemon juice, and sunflower oil.

I used 1 cup yogurt, 1/4 cup sunflower oil and 3 TB lemon juice. I applied it to my face after washing it. Then I let it soak for 10 minutes. I rinsed with warm water and didn’t find that I needed any extra moisturizer afterwards. I stored the leftover mask in the fridge, and used it 2 days later. So far I’m loving it!!

    Hello. I used:
    One cup of plain yogurt
One 2 tbsp. of sunflower oil (from health food store, I couldn’t find it in the grocery)
Three tbsp. of lemon juice (fresh lemon is better than the squeeze bottle)

I’ve tried multiple different methods with this mask, meaning I’ve left it on for 10 minutes, 15, and even put it on and rinsed right off. My face felt nice each time. I’ve found that my skin did look rather glowing, but I’d also been doing the egg white mask at night. The combination of the two has been wonderful!

I’m normally a combination-oily skin, and using the sunflower oil didn’t make my skin more oily, like I’d worried about.

The lemon juice is a good acne fighter. Now, I’m not sure about severe acne, as I only break out around periods and develop a stray pimple/zit a few other times a month. But either way, I think this is a really great mask.

Here are some acne home remedies including an Acne Aspirin Mask and an Acne Dermabrasion with Eggs Home Remedy

Cris, so excited to see that you tried the face mask too! Do you have other home remedies you would suggest?

Do you think you can use grapeseed oil instead of sunflower oil?

I’ve been using the safflower oil with vitamin E and antioxidants instead of sunflower oil and I love it.
I mix plain yogurt, with 1 table spoon safflower oil and 1table spoon of lemon and leave it on for 5 mins and my since looks beautiful. I had a break out from an allergic reaction and this cleaned up all the scaring and flake left behind

I buy a pint of plain yogurt and mix up just enough for one application at a time. My ratio is 2tsp. of yogurt, 1 tsp. lemon juice and 1 tsp of EVOO (extra virgin olive oil). I leave it on for a maximum of 15 minutes because once it dries, I don’t like taking it off. I have severe acne and doctors have prescribe all kinds of things that have not worked. This works as well as or better than what they prescribe. I mix small batches for freshness because I feel that is what’s best in my case.
