If you answered mostly number 1’s, you’re at the “occasional happiness” level, if you answered mostly number 2’s, you’re at the “transient happiness” level, and if you answered mostly number 3’s you’re at the “resilient happiness” level. Resilient happiness is the goal. Dr Oz then turned to two sisters to find out their results. Alyssa got mostly A’s and admitted she could certainly use some help, while Taylor got mostly B’s which was surprising because she thought she would score higher.
Dr Oz: The Key To Happiness
Dr Zelana Montminy, author of “21 Days to Resilience” explained that there’s really no happy or unhappy person. Happiness is a feeling so it comes and goes and some of us are better than others at noticing and capturing those moments. Dr Zelana studied some of the most happiest people in the world and explained that what she believes it really comes down to is resilience. It’s ability to bounce back from a challenge and grow from those circumstances while finding the “beauty in the mess of it all.”
Dr Oz: Focus On Resilient Happiness
Dr Zelana wanted to change the conversation from happiness to resilient happiness.
As for the sisters, Dr Zelana explained that they’re the perfect example of how two people can face the same circumstances and approach them in two completely different ways. If you’re able to train yourself to look at the world in a different way and see that there is hope, you can transform your outcome.
