Doctor Oz said that incontinence is the number one medical secret that women keep, and incontinence can develop at any age. So what is a weak bladder? What causes incontinence? And most importantly, what can we do to prevent incontinence or to help incontinence?
Causes for Incontinence:
1. Muscles around your bladder become weak.
2. Nerves stop working the way they should.
Extra weight on your bladder, or if you are pregnant and have a baby sitting on your bladder, it can worsen the situation. You can have stress incontinence or nerve signals from your bladder can get confused and not know whether you are full or not. Diabetes or certain medications can cause your nerve signals to get confused as well.
How To Help Get Rid of Incontinence:
1. Exercises
Dr Oz explained how you can tell if you are tightening your muscles – it is basically that same feeling as when you stand on your tip toes to try and zip up your pants.
2. Weight Loss
By losing weight, you have less fat and less pressure on your bladder.
3. Magnesium – Pumpkin Seeds
Dr Oz said that magnesium helps spasms in your bladder, and pumpkin seeds are one of the best sources for magnesium.
