Dr Oz: Fat-urday Cheats
On today’s episode, Doctor Oz dedicated the full hour to Fat-urday, his designated day to indulge in goodies. Dr Oz showed how you can cheat and still lose weight with his healthy alternatives. You can still enjoy the creaminess, the crunchiness and the sweetness, but without the guilt. Swap your favorite trigger foods with healthy and tasty options.
Danielle, an audience member, told Dr Oz that her favorite food indulgence was potato chips.
She told Dr Oz she was good because normally stopped at one bag. (Huh?) Dr Oz gave Danielle his healthy alternative to potato chips:
Dr Oz: Taro Chips
Taro chips- this guilt-free chip only costs $5 and is available at your local grocery store. Danielle tentatively tasted the chips, but after one bite, she told Dr Oz they were doable.
Dr Oz: Dark Chocolate With Chili Peppers
Laurie, the second audience member, told Dr Oz that her vice was chocolate. (Dr Oz admitted that was his weakness too.) Laurie said she can never get enough of the gooey, creamy chocolate. Dr Oz gave Laurie his guilt-free option:
Dark chocolate with chili peppers- the dark chocolate is full of anti-oxidants and the chili peppers help rev up metabolism. Dr Oz did not a mention a specific brand, but I am absolutely crazy about these Dark Chocolate Chili Pepper Bar. Laurie tasted the chocolate bar and said it was creamy. She waited a few seconds and then the chili pepper kicked in. Dr Oz said the chili peppers awaken your taste buds so you can appreciate the taste much more.
Dr Oz: Lucy’s Cookies Review
Lynn, an audience member, told Dr Oz cookies were her weakness. She loved all kinds of cookies, but oatmeal raisin were her favorites. Dr Oz gave Lynn his guilt-free cookie splurge:
