Dr Oz: Lumbar Rolls for Back Pain
Dr Oz did a segment on Prescription Drug Addiction, and he followed it up with a discussion of great ways to treat common pains without prescription drugs. Doctor Oz and Dr Julie Holland covered secret weapons for Back Pain, Joint Pain and Headache Pain because millions of people take drugs to treat these common aches and pains. Dr Holland said that for Back Pain, the first thing you should try to do is to stand up straight, place your hands on your lower back by your hips, and lean back to stretch out the area. The next tip is that you should support the natural curve in your back by using a Lumbar Roll on your chair towards the back of the seat. A Lumbar Roll will force you to sit up straight. If you do not want to pay $20 for the more professional looking Lumbar Rolls, then Dr Oz said that you can make your own by rolling up a towel and tying it with several strings. You should also consider using Lumbar Rolls in the car.
Dr Oz: SAMe for Joint Pain

Dr Oz’s final common pain was Headaches. Dr Julie Holland said that the main reason people get headaches is from dehydration, so make sure that you drink lots of water. Also, caffeine withdrawals can cause headaches, so try drinking a cup of tea or coffee before turning to the headache medicine. Plus, you should talk to your doctor about trying out 5-HTP Supplements to prevent headaches from happening in the first place. Dr Holland said that 5-HTP may cause some stomach irritation or insomnia though, so it is important to always discuss it with your doctor before taking any supplement, and it is best to take it in the morning so that it does not keep you up at night.
