Dr Oz: N-Acetyl Cysteine NAC, 30/30 Rule & Coconut Oil | Morning Boost

Dr Oz: Morning Superfuel

April, an audience member, stated that every evening, she set her alarm in hopes of waking up early to exercise and have a good breakfast with her son. (Don’t we all?) Unfortunately, when the alarm went off, she always ends up hitting the snooze button, grabbing a quick on-the-go breakfast and shuffling her kid out the door. (Again, don’t we all? LOL!)

Dr Oz: Coconut Oil

-Coconut Oil-a healthy fat. Goes directly to the brain and liver. Dr Oz N-Acetyl Cysteine NAC Use 1 Tbsp to boost you up for the day. Add coconut oil to your morning toast in place of butters and margarines. Add coconut oil to your oatmeal or just take 1 tsp in the morning. Coconut oil is also great for cooking even at high temperatures, so use it in place of vegetable oil.

Dr Oz: N-Acetyl Cysteine NAC

-N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC)- dietary supplements. Dr Oz says these supplements are the mother of all antioxidants. NAC improves immunity as well as fights infection. For best results, take one 600 mg supplement on an empty stomach in the morning and in the evening. The cost is $10 and you can find it online or in health food stores.

Dr Oz: 30 / 30 Rule

-Revive Your Metabolism With the 30/30 rule- Eat 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up. April stated that her normal breakfast usually consisted of either a granola bar (that’s not bad!) or a drive-thru breakfast. (Not good!) Dr Oz suggested getting your protein in at breakfast with cereal that contains 13g of protein. You could also opt for a 3 egg omelet with turkey sausage. A protein shake or whey is another way to revive your metabolism.

re 30/30 I am surprised at the mention of cerial to get protein, most are only 4g a serving, and there being no mention of yogourt, some greek styles are high in protein and low in sugar!!
