Dr Oz started off this segment by addressing some top reasons to lose 10% off your body weight, which included reducing the risk of heart disease and reducing your cancer risk. Doreen, a volunteer audience member, stated that her mother had heart disease and that she was looking to reduce her risk.
Dr Oz: Blueberry & Banana Smoothie Recipe
Many of these ingredients are great for your health. For instance, blueberries contain anti-oxidants and you know how Dr Oz loves his anti-oxidants.
Dr Oz passed out the smoothie to the audience and asked for the thumbs up or down. Audience gave the thumbs up. (Doreen enjoyed it too.)
Dr Oz Popcorn Recipe
2. Popcorn—One of Dr Oz’s favorite smart snacks
¼ C popcorn
Pour in brown bag
Fold over top
Put the bag in microwave for 2 minutes or until popping stops
Pour into container
Spray on some cooking spray (this makes the spices stick)
Add spices(cinnamon or garlic salt)
Dr Oz had a bag already popped and asked Doreen to taste it. She tasted it and told Dr Oz that it reminded her of movie popcorn. (sans the grease, I hope!) This popcorn has no synthetic fats and is a good alternative to fatty snacks.
