Doctor Oz had Trudie Styler, wife of Sting and star of Trudie Styler’s Sculpt & Tone Ballet,on the Ask Dr Oz Celebrity Edition show. Trudie Styler has such an amazing body, and I could really relate to the concept of everyone having an inner ballerina! The ballerina that I dreamed about being as a child is definitely still inside of me (and many women I would think!), so I am excited about trying Trudie Styler’s Sculpt & Tone Ballet
workout program. Trudie Styler asked Dr Oz what he does to stay healthy and fit, since he has a very hectic schedule.
Dr Oz’s Exercise Schedule
– 50% cardio
– 30% stretching and yoga
– 20% strength training
Yoga: Triangle Pose
In the morning, Dr Oz said he does the yoga pose called the Triangle Pose. You stand with your feet apart and with your arms out to the sides. Turn your head to face in the direction of one of your feet, and lean forward towards your foot to grab the space. The Triangle Pose helps to open up your hips and is great for your back. Then you can transition into the Airplane Pose.
Dr Oz: Balance Ball or Stability Ball
Dr Oz also did a demonstration of how he likes to use a balance ball to build strength, because muscle mass burns through calories. Lie back on a balance ball and lean forwards (it kind of looks like you are doing little situps).
