Dr Oz did a segment called Miracle Pills and Potions with Cheryl Kramer Kaye, from Redbook magazine. Cheryl told Doctor Oz that at Redbook they get so many products to try that they cannot actually try everything, so when the receive a product, they flip it over and read the label. She looks for tried and true ingredients, and if there are ingredients she has not heard of, she reaches out to dermatologists, makeup artists and other professionals to find out about them.
Dr Oz: Beauty Beverage for Glowing Skin
Cheryl told Dr Oz that we all have heard that antioxidants helps us to get glowing skin, prevent wrinkles and even prevent Skin Cancer. But not all of us can (or do) get our full daily dose of vegetables and fruits like we should. So a few companies have come out with beauty beverages that give you an antioxidant boost! The three Beauty Beverages mentioned are:
Votre Vu Snapdragon Beauty Beverage
Glowelle
Dr. Brandt Anti-Oxidant Water Booster
Cheryl said that the Dr. Brandt Anti-Oxidant Water Booster gives you all of the antioxidants found in 15 cups of green tea just in a few drops in a glass of water. Dr Oz said that the extracts help to give your skin elasticity, and these options are great since you can get the antioxidant benefits without the sugars found in other drinks.
Dr Oz: Cellulite Creams
Cheryl told Dr Oz that cellulite is of course a skin problem, not a problem regarding fat like many of us think. Cheryl recommended the following products as good Cellulite Creams and cellulite supplements:
Nivea Goodbye Cellulite
Mama Mio Shrink to Fit Cellulite Cream
Murad Firm & Tone Supplements
The Murad product is actually a supplement that fights off cellulite, how neat is that!!! Look for my review of the Murad and Mama Mio products shortly on our sister site Opinion Queen.
Of course, none of these Cellulite Creams are a permanent solution, but Dr Oz said that the glucosamine and fatty acids help the water to get absorbed into your skin, which plumps up your skin so that your cellulite appears to be minimized.
Dr Oz: Hair Minimizing Deodorant
Sheryl told Dr Oz that all women get tired of shaving their underarms all the time (and isn’t that the truth!). So several companies have come out with Hair Minimizing Deodorants such as
Dove Hair Minimizing Deodorant
Avon Skin So Soft Hair Minimizing Deodorant
DermaDoctor Gorilla Warfare Hair Minimizing Deodorant
You will still have to shave your arms of course, but Dr Oz said that you should see a minimization in the hair growth.

Since time is short on tv, I thought your readers might like to know that SnapDragon was awarded a MVP (most valuable product) award from RedBook in the May 2010 issue. In addition to antioxidants, SnapDragon is loaded with ingredients that are good for hair, skin and nail health like Ho Su Wu extract, baobab fiber, horsetail herb extract and gingko biloba extract. There is also a great holiday sale on 4 bottles for $29, reg price $42. And yes, it tastes surprisingly delicious.
