Dr Oz: Laura Lynne Jackson
Dr Oz introduced a woman who found her own purpose in life, communicating with the dead. Her name is Laura Lynne Jackson and during the day she’s a high school literature teacher, but by night, she’s a psychic medium, helping people connect with loved ones who have passed. Laura said she knew she was different since an early age. She would feel people’s emotions and would even know when people she loved were going to die. At age 11, she told her mother, who told her it was a gift.
Laura explained that she’s both a psychic and a medium, which means, as a psychic, when she’s in crowded places with a lot of people, she’s constantly perceiving all the energy around her and picking up information. As a medium, she’s connecting to loved ones who have died. She said she’s never had anyone walk away from a reading frightened or uncomfortable. For the past 20 years, she’s been living a double life as a teacher and as a medium, but when she was “outed” it “gave her permission” to go deeper into her work as a psychic and medium.
Dr Oz: Proving Abilities As A Medium
Laura Lynne Jackson joined Dr Oz, who immediately brought up the fact that Laura volunteered to be studied and looked at by scientists and psychologists. Laura explained that coming to terms with her ability and scientists gave her a couple double blind tests to make sure that the information she was receiving was accurate and not fake in any way. Once she passed that, she worked with scientists to try to figure out how.
Dr Oz wanted to show everyone the tests, showing a scan of Laura’s brain. Laura explained that the scans showed that her entire frontal lobe “quiets down” completely during a reading and the back part of her brain that lights up. Dr Oz pointed out that it doesn’t prove that medium-ship is real, but it does show that something is happening.
Dr Oz: Laura Lynne Jackson Communicating With Spirits
Dr Oz said he was still a skeptic, but a member of his staff, who is even more of a skeptic than he is, actually reached out to Laura completely independent of the show. What happened to her, even amazed Dr Oz. The woman shared that she kept hearing banging and knocking noises on her bedroom door in the middle of the night. One night, she was deep asleep when suddenly she woke up and saw a petite woman crouched next to her bed.
The woman had short blonde hair and a heart-shaped face. She was smiling, but in a mocking sort of way. She literally felt paralyzed until her husband suddenly turned on the light and she was able to move again. The next morning she knew she had to put an end to it, so she called Laura Lynne Jackson. Laura immediately sensed that there was a spirit in the house.
Garret, Laura’s husband, tried to sense if there was a spirit present by using a scientific device called an electro-magnetic field detector, that measures the energy levels in a room. She’s watching Laura channel the spirit as GArret channels the spirit saying “If you want to make your presence known, make all the lights on the EMF detector go on.” All of the sudden, all the lights did.
The woman’s name is Tina, and she explained that once Garret and Laura told the spirit it was okay to leave, she left, and Tina was never bothered again. Tina thanks Laura and Garrett, saying that hey gave her back her home and her piece of mind.
Dr Oz: Connecting With Deceased Loved Ones
Dr Oz then wanted to have Laura connect with some people in his audience. Laura first went to a woman sitting in the front row, saying she felt the energy of a young boy. The woman nodded acknowledging that Laura was right. Laura also told the woman that the boy wanted her to know that he liked her hair, before saying it’s so important to come out of the stage of grief. She also was seeing Pez candy and the woman shared that the boy collected Pez candies as a child.
Dr Oz: Connecting With Deceased Mother
She then turned to another woman, saying there was a woman trying to get her attention, calling out a name that started with a “V” and laughing hysterically, but the woman seemed as if had no idea. But then Laura pointed out twins, and the woman shared that she actually had twins and the woman who passed, who was her mother, never got to meet them. Laura told the woman that she should know she’s an excellent mother, and the woman then revealed that it was actually her mother who had passed, and she had suffered from mental illness.
